Are you "Out of Alignment"?

Have you ever noticed, or been told that your body is “𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵”? ⁣

One hip is higher than the other⁣

Your spine has a curve in it⁣

Your neck is straight⁣

Your pelvis is tilted (forward or back)⁣

Your knees track inward⁣

You have high or low arches⁣

You have scoliosis⁣

One leg is longer than the other ⁣

Your head is forward (“text neck”) ⁣

While these findings might sound concerning, they’re actually quite common and 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭. ⁣

Interestingly, differences in alignment are not really as big of a deal as they’ve been made out to be. People who are fairly symmetrical can still experience pain, and many people with variances in alignment or posture are asymptomatic (meaning they don’t have pain). ⁣

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀: ⁣

Do you experience pain? ⁣

Or dysfunction? ⁣

Are you able to perform day to day activities? Do you have pain when exercising or playing sports? ⁣

Can you sleep well at night? ⁣

When it comes to vehicles and machines, alignment certainly matters. But unlike a car, our bodies have the ability to adapt, and are far more complex than any piece of machinery. ⁣

You don’t need “𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩” (𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨?) to feel your best. ⁣

𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀! ⁣
